There was an “I Love Children Family Carnival 2006” at the East Coast Park on Sunday. There were also radio advertisement spots, in which a little girl is heard to tell Mummy that “there’ll be gays, free ice cream and clowns”, and that “Singapore Idol Taufik will be there too”.
So, in celebration of “National (We Are) Family Week“, here’s the MP3 file for that ad:

Finally, the govt on S’pore recognizes ‘gays’ as part of the ‘family’.
And if you listened to the clip closely, the son says ‘…plus my favourite “hoes” from Kids’ Central, Kim…”. Please la, Kim is just doing her job, you know?

For a minute I thought they really meant ‘gays’.
It would be wonderful when gay people are seen as part of the family unit. I am a gay woman and I am a Singaporean, contrary to popular belief, my family is still intact. π
