Exporting Singlish

Unlike most of Australia, the people of Rockhampton and its environs understand Singlish a little better, seeing as we have had a permanent armed forces base there and have trained there for almost a third of every year since 1990. The signboards we stick up everywhere help too:

    Can’t believe nlim’s photos! What?!? 56 SAB, who screwed up our logistics big time, were suntanning on the beach while we were stuck in the woods, out of water and food?

    Sigh! It is photos like nlim’s which is going to reinforce the view that reservist in Australia is a holiday camp … shirtless on a sun-drenched beach … beers … more beers …
    Then again … when we were miserable … most of us weren’t exactly feeling that great about taking photos of ourselves …
