It was fun! Talking Cock in parliament.
Very heartening to see such a wonderful turnout. And thanks to those who bought the “I Love Singapore” T-Shirts.
Anyway, here’s the speech that I was going to use if I hadn’t sung the Singapore History Song.
Maybe someone should start a blog. Call it Mr. Pink.
More and more people are coming out because on the surface it seems it’s ok to be gay. I think that’s because the Powers that Be are finally realizing that gay people have no political ambitions in Singapore.
No point going on hunger strike because you waste all the effort and money spent on your California Gyms.
There are no gay ministers in parliament because I mean what they really gonna do when the debate gets too bitchy? Slap one another?
And can you imagine joining the ruling party? So much hard work! Although it sounds really fun because who knows what kind of actions people do at the party. National day can be very demanding especially when you have to wear all white. That means the whole of July must go gym, suntan all, so on national TV you can wear that very sexy white thong to go with your white outfit. VPL very salah.
Yup gay people basically aren’t interested in becoming PM, Queen maybe, but not PM.
There was a time not so long ago when Singapore thought it was gonna be the Gay Hub, benefit from the Pink Dollar. I thought that this idea was starting to get accepted especially around National Day because everywhere I go I see Pink Flags. I love Singapore until Luk Sek already.
But seriously, where’s the community? Online? In the gyms? The clubs? And if there is one, is the community doing anything to integrate first of all amongst themselves, then into society at large?
If there are people who stood up for Mr. Brown when he got flack from above, will there be anyone who will stand up and speak up for a Mr. Pink should similar circumstances happen?
When will the day come where I don’t have to be identified by my orientation, race or gender, marital status, age or religion?
When I fill up a form, all I have to is put down is Singaporean.
