The Magic of Opening Night

The Magic Fundoshi opens tonight.

The Set is beautiful (Ivan Heng), the costumes are fabulous ( Mothar Kassim, winner of best costume design 2006), the Lighting design is super (Yo Shao An, designer extraodinaire) and what can I say? Glen Goei’s direction!

First 8 shows are sold out and it’s going fast.

Do come and support, it’s not going to be your normal average ‘Singlish’ play. Come and expand your horizons! Trust me…there’ll be lots of fleshy, I mean, flashy stuff.

  • Went to watch on Thu night. Audience was really cold turkey leh ... not my fault, I don't laugh loudly during shows.
    Like everybody else, we also wonder the same thing: how come Hossan don't need to strip!?!?!

    Dear Hossan,

    My friend Christine and I are fans of your works. Hence, we bought tickets to The Magic Fundoshi as soon as we saw the advertisment on the Sistic website. Apparently we are one of the first people to know as the tickets we bought are for the third row. =D

    The both of us have to save up to buy tickets to your shows (since we're still students). We're going for Chestnuts this year end too! However, I have to say, I enjoyed the play tremendously and the money spent was worth it (But aiyo, can cheaper abit?). You left me wondering how you actors managed to memorised such large chunks of words.

    However I have to tell you my disappointment. You mentioned in your earlier entry that it's difficult to wear a fundoshi. But how come you didn't strip like the rest of the cast to show off your fundoshi? Hahaha...

    The opening night is awesome. I cant really catch the first part of the show, which is pretty sad. I really like the last part, when the lights were flashing, and you people running about. The effect is awesome. Jonathan lim and you are so funny! Congrats!!
