Days 10 & 11

A cou­ple more things struck me about hav­ing a new­born — your home becomes like the oppo­site of a zoo. Your friends want to come visit and see the new baby, and you have to tell them, sure but not dur­ing feed­ing hours.

The other thing is, with the help of the con­fine­ment nanny, we have raised the price of gin­ger. There’s about two tonnes of gin­ger in our kitchen, wait­ing to be pre­pared and incor­po­rated into such culi­nary delights as pork with gin­ger, fish with gin­ger, beef with gin­ger, veg­eta­bles with gin­ger, and gin­ger with ginger.

We’d have gone bonkers if Baby Kai wasn’t the cutest baby in the uni­verse who doesn’t mind his par­ents and nanny hav­ing gin­ger breath.

    Btw, since baby-Kai is too sweet to resist, bet­ter don’t kiss the baby’s cheeks coz baby skin is very sen­si­tive (macham wip­ing lips on the baby). The baby’s skin might be boh-swee liao. Kiss the baby’s hands lor, or feet.

    From what I know, gin­ger is to expel wind & is heaty. The sesame oil is to con­tra the heat (don’t for­get to add this).

    wel­come to the world of con­fine­ment. lolz. i had soooo much gin­ger dur­ing my con­fine­ment that it made me stayed off gin­ger for the next 2 months~! that aside, i was made to drink red date tea instead of plain water every­day for the whole month~!imagine the com­bi­na­tion ?? haha..

    then again, every­thing is for the good of the mummy. Hang on~! it’ll be over soon~! =)
