No detectable Vitamin C in Ribena

Images Logos RibenaAn NZ court has found Glax­o­SmithK­line guilty of mis­lead­ing adver­tis­ing because there’s actu­ally no detectable vit­a­min C in Ribena. But in Sin­ga­pore, the AVA has cer­ti­fied that local Ribena Berries aren’t just can­ni­bals, they’ve also been ‘cer­ti­fied rich in vit­a­min C’.

    The laws in Sin­ga­pore are stricter, and it’s con­sid­er­ably like the slim­ming pills case a few years back. Cause, it gets checked every few years, once the check is cleared, they cut down/change the ingre­di­ents used, etc.

    Funny thing. After hear­ing about the case, my mum went to get a bot­tle of Ribena. :D

    Well it looks like some have dif­fer­ent per­spec­tives over “rich in vit­a­min C” cer­ti­fi­ca­tion. As a pos­si­ble client I am not will­ing to accept mis­lead­ing adver­tis­ing, spe­cially when it comes to health aspects… this is out­ra­geous!
