Last night, I watched (sev­eral times because on Star World, they repeat pro­grams all day long — negat­ing the need for a smart tv set top box but that’s another story alto­gether) one of the most breath­tak­ing things I’ve watched on tele­vi­sion: the duet on Amer­i­can Idol between Elvis Pres­ley and Celine Dion, the clip of which I would’ve pur­chased on iTunes if not for the stu­pid geo­graph­i­cal lim­i­ta­tions.     There are at least 10 videos of this on YouTube. It’s not cer­tain whether it’s holo­graphic or post pro­duc­tion effect. Some say live audi­ences saw an Elvis imper­son­ator stand in — only TV audi­ences saw the super­im­posed Elvis.

    I was quite sur­prised too. I thought that it was an imper­son­ator when the cam­era started show­ing back­shots. He was the best though.
