haha, you reminded me of my O level chinese oral exam. I was like saying “chinese chinese chinese bu-zhi-dao bu-zhi-dao chinese chinese bu-zhi-dao chinese chinese bu-zhi-dao…”. I still got a B4, amazingly!

not too sure who exactly came up with the chinese version. but it does make me wonder, if the translator took chinese as a third (or even fourth?) language, or he/she took english as a third ( or even fourth???) language.

does it occur to anyone that, translation, is in itself, an art? to handle translation well, being proficient in both the languages (ie bilingual) you are handling does not suffice. you need to learn one more “language”:

the language of translation.

This is the original edition which you can find it through the link in our post. as you see, the Chinese one is our translation.
We are GVO Chinese translation group, and our main purpose is to relate perspectives from other parts of the world to the Chinese speaking world through translation.
So maybe Mr. M u sound much more eloquent in English, we still have to try our best to achieve that goal.
I have revised the translation quoted in this article after I read your views though I am not the translator original.(including the comma you mentioned above. ^_^)
